Supported by its professional Secretariat, and CITB grant funding, local construction businesses are able to take the lead in helping to arrange the scope and quality of the training they need to maintain the world-class workforce needed to succeed in the modern environment.

Overall leadership of LGTA is vested in its Officer Board, which provides oversight of the activities and budgets of the organisation; these Board members are drawn from sector volunteers, and elected into office at Annual General Meetings open to all members.

Representatives of the member companies also participate in two Steering Groups, one helping to shape local training provision and the other supporting engagement with local Schools and Colleges, in particular through an annual event held in conjunction with National Construction Week.

All member companies are encouraged to participate in one or more of these member-led aspects of LGTA management, which they can do simply by making a direct approach to the Secretariat via the “Contact Us” page.
